Little flashing lights

Ok, so I'm watching tv downstairs and I see like little flashes of light outside. Very weird. At first, I'm thinking my contacts have dried up and acting up. Then I'm thinking it's just a reflection from the cars in the street. And I keep seeing it. The dog I'm sitting for seems to notice too. So I go to the window and discover fireflies! Yes, growing up I thought they were fake, and I think I only ever saw them once, in Vermont in the heat of August. I watched them for a while. Amazing little things. Ahh..bioluminescence. Interesting how they are more yellow orange and the sand flea types things flash blue.

Very in love with the country :) Nice to hear crickets at night. Beautiful sunny mornings, bright moonlit nights. F the city.

Dog/cat sitting is going well. The dog is really great. Makes me want a dog. She very protective and I think we have bonded. We played in the field for a while today, then she wanted to go in and watch tv. The cats are great too.

Work is going well. Damn little kids tired the crap out of me. We were taking a tour of this farm off campus and of course the male duck decides to jump up on the female just as we are walking by. I died right about then, especially since the female allowed it. On top of work and dog/cat sitting (one of the cat needs insulin every 12 hours), I was needed in the large animal hospital too for NICU. Sweet baby cria born 6 weeks too early. Very bad for llamas. She was very quiet and I only had to change her pee pad once. She did lerch forward every now and then when I wasn't looking.

Now I need sleep for my long day tomorrow...
