Well, it seems that the hotel we've been staying have internet access, and I'm bored, so I'll update. Why not? Let's see... we left Saturday morning for Oakland. After picking up a rental car, we drove down to San Fran. Got lost in said city, toured the "combat zone" - read perv theatres, gang members, and pro whores, and went down that really curvy street. Eventually found the hotel and unloaded. I then took a nap. Then we found some dinner and visited a neat place, pier 39.
Sunday, we looked around San Fran a bit. There were these cool mimes along the street. And we had dinner.
Monday we left to go south. We drove along the coast along this really scary street that was on the ledge all along the pacific coast. We saw a bunch of elephant seals lying out on the beach. Then we go to SLO (St Luis Obispo) and had dinner. Then some fireworks at some beach for the 4th.
Tuesday we drove around SLO a bit then more south to Santa Barbara. We went to this farmer's market in Santa Barbara and drove around the city a bit. And then ate dinner at the hotel, followed by more driving around afterwards.
Wednesday we drove to Carpinteria and met my cousin Matty and walked around the town. Then came back to Santa Barbara and walked the beach a bit. Then I sat down at the computers in the lobby and am currently writing a blog entry. Next is dinner with family and headed for San Diego tomorrow.
Whirl-wind tour of Cali continues next post :)
