"Do you think this is a flea bite?"
Hurricane Katrina has decimated New Orleans and surrounding areas, just in case you were living under a rock this past week. The devistation is horrible, I feel very bad for the people that must endure such a hardship. The hurricane has made it clear how SOME vet students view life. My first reaction is how difficult is must be for the people and that they need federal help. Other vet students first reaction is how awful it must be for the animals, wild and domestic that get left behind and how awful it is that the human shelters won't take them in too and how ignorant people are for living below sea level. I'm not sure what to make of it.
On another depressing topic, Romeo, my goldfish died. I had him for five years. He was a great fish, grew to about 7 inches from tip to tail. I like to think he went in his sleep. He wasn't eating for a few days and just kept floating to the top, and turned redish. Juliet misses him very much, but I don't think I will get her a friend. I'm looking for someone to take her. I had thought of just putting her in the brook, but she'd probably get eaten and that's not a good way to go. I'm thinking about euthanasia as well. We'll see. RIP Romeo.
On a lighter note, I want big, L.L Bean snowboots and a pair of Dansko pro clogs for working in the hospital. And an automatic cat water dish. And still a keychain with a fourleaf clover. Lastly, is it bad that one of my kittens chases her tail?
P.S. - not sure if any avid readers have picked up on this, but lately my titles have been things I've heard that literally makes me laugh out loud.
