Assorted update

ER repeats = suck. When does sweeps start? *Most* people on the internet = suck. They say stuff they would never say to you in person and think they are infallible (that's the last time I post my thoughts in a community).

New paragraph for easy reading. Busy weekend ahead, and I love it. Concert/Boston Fri night, covering the late shift in the ER Sat night, sleeping in late and studying for exam on Sunday.

Yet another paragraph. Living by ones self is great. A list of reasons why:
  • My food is on ALL the shelves in the fridge
  • Not having to split bills and worry about money between people
  • If I'm cold, I turn the heat on
  • Always have a hot shower
  • Not having a four person apartment become a 8 person apartment
  • Not waiting for the bathroom/waiting for it to air out
  • Not being disturbed while studying
  • No smelly dogs
  • Being sexiled - oh wait, that was Eliz
  • Not having to put up with roommates weird quirks/mood-swings
  • There's a pile of dishes in the sink and no one complains (except visitors...)
  • I considered putting "walking around naked" but that's only Jennie
  • No weird/deadbeat boyfriends hanging around
  • When it's tv time, I watch what I want and flip around constantly
  • Not constantly worrying that I did something to offend someone

I will miss Fruit st fun though.

And lastly, knitting. I bought a bunch of new yarn and stole some from my mum. It took me a week to decide on a project. After starting legwarmers, I took them out. Figured I wouldn't wear them anyway. I got knitting books from the library and wanted to try some new techniques. So, I started a new project today - an mp3 player holder. Quad needles, intricate repeating heart pattern with 2 colors, three needle bind-off at the seams, mitred piece for a floor, a latched cover and a modified button hole. I think I have outdone my master, he he. I'm about 25% done already (small player).

I'd post pics of my new project, but my last batteries died for my camera taking pics around the common in the snow. However, I will post a pic of my cactus plant that is growing some buds. This is the oldest a plant has ever lived for me. Yes, the one I got freshman year of undergrad from my sister in March. So like 5.5 years.

This was a good long post.

Regarding living alone (which I no longer do but plan to do soon again!):

1. I didn't have to wear pants. or a bra.
2. I could turn the heat up high and wear tank tops (but that was more a factor of my apartment including utilities in the rent)
3. I listened to my wanky (but good) music and didn't feel like I was being judged.
4. I cleaned the bathroom once and week and didn't get mad that no one else never did it and disgusted by how gross it was (god, just clean it once a week and look how nice it stays!)
5. I decorated as I wished and moved furniture as I wished and left messes as I wished.

Christine is lucky to live alone (and I really like her apt...it's very cosy and neat).

Here's to living alone!
Jennie
