Get in the kitchen
So, while my bloody powerpoint slides print out, I might as well post a long awaited blog entry. Jennie beat me to the punchline to recount our weekend activities, however she wasn't there on Friday. So, last week I won tickets to see the dropkick murphys and meet the band during a soundcheck / mini concert. Nancy went with me, we even skipped class and an important meeting I had. While getting minorly lost in Kenmore Square (Nancy is not allowed to navigate anymore, and I really need a compass in my car) we made it to the Avalon. Man, what a sausage fest, it reminds me of WPI. There were maybe 4 other single girls there (as side from the 3 obvious girlfriends). It's like knowing every guy in the large group has checked YOU out. Meet some random people, including two guys from the Cape, but Nancy said they were too young. Anyway, the mini show was very good, and I bought a t shirt and had them sign it. I don't really know the band or the music all that much, so I wasn't overwhelmed or anything. Then we took a random tour through Watertown where Nancy used to live and made an ice cream stop. Then back to Worc. I studied the rest of the night and Saturday.
Went shopping on Saturday for random things at Target and litter. The went to bed early in preparation for Sunday.
The parade was awesome with Jennie and my new best friend James (incorrectly spelt on Jennie's site). $20 cover is ridiculous, even if it is Southie on St. pat's day weekend during the parade. So, I originally planned to skip the dropkick concert and let Jennie go with someone else so I could study, but I didn't want to leave yet. So, fighting off tiredness and hunger, we went to PJ Kilroy's in Boston. Strange little place, have to go back some time. Then to the show, which was VERY awesome, such energy. I wish I knew the lyrics to sign along. Three cheers for nasty old guys that like YOUNG girls. Then dragged my tired, beginnings of hungover ass back to Worc and crashed. And have been studying ever since I woke up Monday. HUGH HUGH HUGH exam Friday morning (GASP, TOMORROW!) and I still have a bunch of work to do. Grrr...
In other news, Dell announced tripling outsourcing to India, and I am announcing my loss of support for the company. I was going to buy a laptop soon too. Bastards. They are all excited about saying that India has great technology and is becoming more and more industrialized, which is bullshit cause Dell goes over to India for people to man the tech support phones, that's all. Taking away American jobs makes me angry. No mention of how many Americans are getting canned in this latest news announcement. Therefore, I will not be buying anymore Dell products in protest.
Also, in random surfing, I found mention/pic on someone's site about yuck. I haven't though about yuck in years. I probably posted about already. I will again. Apparently this is a WPI kind of thing, and during IQP in Cambridge, I even took part in it with Jenn and the rest of my IQP group. Anyway, you take an empty gallon water jug and put one liter or so of vodka in and two (i think) cups of sugar and limes and Swedish fish/sour gummies worms/other candy. Slosh it around and put it in the fridge and wait an hour or two. Take it out, slosh around and pass around and enjoy! Personal experience note: don't try to stab the vodka soaked gummies with a big grill fork to get them out; you may make a hole. He he.
Ok, back to studying/cramming my little brains out. Reminds me of the line from Macbeth - dashed his little brain out.... or something...

OMFG YUCK!
I mean that as an excitement about remembering YUCK. I've done it before, as we all have, but I mostly was around for the end of it (the best part, when you get to easily scoop out all the gummies at the bottom).
DELICIOUS
