Bush quote : "These oil prices are a wake-up call. We're dependent on oil. We need to get off oil."

THE most intelligent thing I've ever heard him say, and I NEVER thought he would admit it. Of course, I don't suport his methods for acting it out. "Encouraging" oil companies to find renewable, safer, more enviro-friendly sources of energy is not enough. He also said: "The temptation in Washington is to tax everything" I agree with taxes. Tax the rich. If we tax the oil companies and fund research with it, gas prices will certainly go up. If we don't, then new energy sources will never be produced. Catch 22. I wonder what the gas situation will be like in 20 years...
