My short winter break
I've been so bad about lack of posting! I guess I've been busy.
This year, my winter break was only a week and a few days, compared to last year that was more like 2 weeks and a few days. However, it was good. I worked a lot and went out a bunch and saw people I don't see nearly enough. I also went to a concert/play - the onion cellar with the Dresden Dolls, which was very good.
By the time Xmas rolled around, I was so ready for it to just be over. I was certainly a bah-humbug. I think it was because I started with Xmas cheer so early. And the warm weather is gross and unseasonable. It's not a true New England Xmas without at least 6 inches of snow.
This past weekend was a lot of fun. Only I live North of Boston and friends live in Boston, but still drive all the way back to Worcester to go out. Lots of fun though. And 2am fries.
New year's was lovely. I have high hopes for this year. I heard a superstition that if you wear red underwear on new year's you'll find love that year. Does pink count?
Caffeine is amazing and I NEED it to function.
I should be scheduling rotation electives for fourth year, but I don't want to think about that just yet.
Eye of judgement for guys that don't pump their own gas. Pussies.
I thought I had mono/some illness the first half of break. I diagnosed myself with sleep deprivation and prescribed more sleep. So, I went to bed most nights during break at 10p to wake up early the next day to work all day. That worked and decided that due to the response to treatment, I did/do not have mono. However, I still feel run down this week. It is almost 2am and I should have gone to sleep a while ago... Oh, but I do think I might have manage. I was working with a dog that had it and immediately got this itchy rash on my right arm. I still have it and it looks nasty and scaly. Hopefully it goes away soon.
I have to skip classes tomorrow to go to a doctor's appointment tomorrow so I can get my tetanus shot and not get kicked out of school, as I've been repeatedly warning about the matter. And since I'll be east and haven't seen Jennie in a bit, I'll be having lunch with her. Place TBD.
Ok, bed now. Hope that keeps the readers happy for the time being. Have a good year!
