Girl fed fatal overdoses, court told - The Boston Globe

Forget writing my lame econ paper. This story BLOWS my mind. Basically, a 4-year-old girl died from congestive heart failure AT HOME due to an overdose of prescribed medications. At two and a half, she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and ADHD. Apparently, right before her death, she was acting sick and her parents kept shoving meds down her throat. A piece of work these two are. The father is abusive and accused of sexually assaulting another step daughter and the mother is on antidepressants. Neither called for an ambulance when the girl was DYING on the floor. I've seen dogs died from congestive heart failure. It's not pretty. They die from fluid building up in the lungs and basically drowning. I hope she was so doped up that she wasn't aware of what was happening. I don't know who screwed up more, the parents or the psychiatrist, who coincidentally works at Tufts NE Medical. The parents need to be sterilized and the doc's license pulled.
